Privacy Policy (lifelog)

Effective Date: March 13, 2026

Welcome to lifelog (Offline Memoir Assistant) (hereinafter "the App"). We are committed to a "Local-First" and "Privacy-First" design philosophy. This App is designed to help you record life memories, manage life trajectories, and synthesize personal memoirs, all while running completely offline.

1. Zero Data Collection

1.1 No Account Required

You do not need to create an account, provide personal identity information, or log in to use the App. We do not track your personal identity.

1.2 Local Storage Only

All data you enter—including life trajectories, major events, people and object archives, visual stories, and synthesized memoir chapters—is stored locally on your device.

  • We cannot access your local database.
  • We do not upload your memory content to our servers.
  • Unless you manually use the "Export" or "Backup" features, all your data remains on your device.

1.3 Images and Media

The App requests photo library access only to allow you to browse and associate photos with specific memories locally. We do not scan your entire library or upload any media files.

1.4 AI Processing (BYOK - Bring Your Own Key)

When you use AI features (such as auto-generating keywords, polishing memoir chapters, or conducting memory interviews):

  • You provide your own API key from a third-party provider (e.g., DeepSeek or OpenRouter).
  • The App communicates directly from your device to these providers.
  • We do not intercept, store, or monitor your conversations, prompts, or AI responses.
  • Please refer to your chosen AI provider's privacy policy for their data handling practices.

2. Third-Party Services

2.1 AI Providers

If you configure an API key, your input data is sent to the respective provider to generate results.

2.2 Time Radio

The Radio feature accesses public broadcast streams. We do not record your listening preferences.

3. Data Ownership and Control

You have absolute ownership over your memories:

  • Deletion: You can delete specific memory fragments or initialize the entire database at any time.
  • Uninstallation: Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all locally stored data.
  • Export: You can export data to JSON or PDF formats for permanent preservation.
